90% of lock ups are due to using the generic drivers
installed by XP and not going to the manufacturers sites
of your hardware and downloading the latest drivers. The
generic drivers installed by XP allow only minimal
functionality and should you have hardware that calls for
a higher function than allowed by the generic driver then
the sytem locks looking for it. You must go to each site
for your hardware manufacturer and get the latest xp
drivers. This includes your mouse,keyboard,video
card, audio card, modem, monitor and so on. Good luck.

Please explain where you get your erroneous data from. What info do you have
that indicates 90% of lockups are caused by using generic drivers?.
