freezes and reboots

i have downloaded all of teh current necessary updates for
my windows xp home edition. i bought my system in july of
2002. it took about 7-10 months from the date i bought my
infernal contraption for this problem to start. i have
paid $240 dollars to have it fixed, and it is still
happening. if i let my computer idle, it freezes and
reboots. some times when i am online, it freezes on me and
reboots. i get a blue dos style message that basically
says "if this is the first time seeing this error message,
restart in safe mode and delete new software, then try
again," with an ending line of "beginning physical dump of
memory". i have not added new software each time i've seen
this message. unless they count new copied music, msn
supported updates, and a mahjong game that refuses to load
teh whole picture (which has been deleted already, twice).
i am fed up. i'd like an answer, and am willing to attempt
the remote access assistance to fix it.(i am a basic
novice at this)
