Freeze with Frontpage OR Picture Manager

I havce read the posts....

When I use Pic Manager (was the default pic viewer), the computer hard
freezes within 3 minutes. Likewise when I try to save (and other times) in
Frontpage! EVERYTHING else on the machine works perfect; Photoshop, ProDraw,
Illustrator, VideoFactory....

I have reloaded FP2003. Still does it. Didnt have the problem with 2000,
but Picture Manager still froze.

Ideas?

I have now upgraded or re-installed EVERY MS product on my system. Picture
Manager hard freezes within a minute of opening, requiring a COLD boot. The
ONLY other prog that ALSO does this is Front Page.
I had to change all my viewsers to IE and cannot use either Picture Manager
or FP on this box.
Ideas????

a while!!!
but I have done a clean re-install of Word, Excel, PP, FP, Outlook, and
Visio (all 2003 now).
This is nuts. I paid $$ for these programs and they are not all working.
This machine has a lot of other high end software on it and reinstalling the
OS does not make me appreciate MS. All my Adobe and Sony products work, for
example. I am trying with not much luck to capture a log but the freeze
kills a write.......

As a general rule, I reformat my systems yearly, which allow improved performance.

Have you uninstalled Pic Manager?

Office/FP 2000 doesn't use Pic Manager, whereas Office XP (2002) and up use it.
