Freeze on crcdisk.sys during boot when installing Haupphauge WinTv

Hi

I have recently bought a Vista Ultimate 32 bit OS which fails to boot (stops
at crcdisk.sys) when Haupphauge WinTv card is inserted. If I unplug the card
everything seems to work fine. Not even the Vista installation DVD is able to
boot.
The system works fine under XP.

Anyone have an ide of how the fix this problem.

Hardware:

WinTV-HVR-1300 (96019 Rev C6A0)
Msi 945P Neo3 mainbord
Asus EN7600GS Silent
Intel Dualcore CPU
2GB ram
Segate barracuda SATA HD

Mattias,

Have you updated the drivers and other software to those that are Vista
compatible? The Hauppauge Support website should have the information you
need.

Hi and thanks for your help.

The problem is that windows won't boot at all when the card is plug in (i.e.
even if no drivers are installed.) I have tried to update bios, graphic card
drivers, soundcard drivers, motherbord inf files from msi, loads of bios
configuration, different pci slots without success. If the card is removed
Vista boots without problem. When the card is plug in it freeze at
crcdisk.sys. It wont even boot in failsafe mode. It works fine under XP.

I have tried to run the haupphauge driver install program but since no card
is pluged in no files are copied.

I'm more or less out of ideas of what to try next.

Regars Mattias
