Hi SheDumpedMe:
I have used three "mass submission" websites (no programs required)
with considerable effect.
Before you do such a submit, though, be sure you submit to the big ones
directly:
http://submit.search.yahoo.com/free/request
http://www.google.com/addurl.html
http://search.msn.com/docs/submit.aspx
You should also find an appropriate category and submit your site to
The Open Directory Project as early as possible. If it gets a listing
there, this will propagate out to all sorts of directories on the Web:
http://www.dmoz.org/add.html
Once you've done these submissions, you can move on to the free mass
submission sites. Here are my favorites:
http://www.freewebsubmission.com/ An all-around wonderful site, with
many useful free tools in addition to free submission.
http://www.1stopsubmit.com/free-search-engine-submission.htm A good,
solid site.
http://www.submitexpress.com/ Another good, solid site.
Apart from the Open Directory submission (which is VERY important: take
time and care with this one), we're talking about less than one hour of
work to make your site available to a VERY broad community for ZERO
cost.
(You will receive email messages from some of the sites which receive
your submission, and it may take you collectively another 15 minutes to
respond to these.)
Hope this is helpful!
Brett
