Hey there,

Here is a freeware list culled from the SnapFile site. Enjoy.

I followed the link for ClipDiary and decided I didn't like it after
all (it's a fine program, but I think a clipboard monitor isn't what I
need). On the same home page is a program called Flashnote which I
liked very much and have decided to keep. Below is my review after
trying it out for a while:

Flashnote

It's not a clipboard monitor. It's more of a pasteboard where you can
temporarily store text, saving it to a permanent file later. This is a
small system tray application with one-click or hotkey access. It acts
as a notepad for you to add text to. It has some basic formatting
options in it. What I like is that if you set it to the same width as
Notepad, you can make dividing lines across the entire page that will
fit properly once you save your work as a text file. I also like that
it remembers where you last saved to. Since I regularly save anything
new to the Desktop for later consideration and relocation, I really
like that it defaults to my favorite location every time I go to save.
A safety feature it has is that it saves what you paste into it
automatically, so if you close it without saving, your stuff is still
there the next time you open it up. It only saves text, but I often
work with text, so this is perfect for me. And it's very light on
resources. Definitely a keeper!

It's definitely freeware, but its one downfall is that the author also
creates Shareware. At the end of your install, an HTML page opens
advertising one of his Shareware programs, and the first time you run
Flashnote, there's text in it recommending a Shareware program. I
closed the HTML page and deleted that text and it hasn't returned.
ClipDiary had the same HTML page come up at the end of the install
process.
