Freeware Download Problem: Damn Small Linux

V

Vijay

A very small version of Linux (approx. 50Mb)can be downloaded from
http://www.damnsmalllinux.com
This is a freeware.

However, the download takes too long (Almost 3 hours on a 56K modem).
This results in interruptions and for an iso file, this appears to be
a problem. The live CD that I made halts inbetween the boot process
and stays right there. (I verfied this by downloading and trying the
same with another freeware small linux at http://www.lnx-bbx.org Same
results/experience.)

I tried the md5sum check, however, this doesn't seem to be
straightforward and easy. I am always getting error messages.

This seems to be a very good freeware. It would be nice if there were
some freeware sites that could mirror this Damn Small Linux download
faster.

Regards,

Vijay

How are you downloading? Try using a program like Download Accelerator
from http://www.metaproducts.com/mp/default.asp that supports
interrupted downloads. Hopefully that might olve the problem.
