Freeing up resources for a server - no graphics card etc.

I am running a server on Win2K, as a service (no GUI). The computer
needs a connection to the internet of course, and the ability to run
this server. Is there anything that I can turn off or remove to free up
unused resources of this system?

I was thinking that I could remove the soundcard from the box (if this
would help at all), and maybe set the graphics to a differen't setting
or something? ..anything that is not being used, to free up. Is there
anything else I could consider switching off / removing that might
help?

Also - disabling or removing the card physically. Does this make any
difference to resources used. If you disable it, windows will still
detect the hardware of course, so.. well i'm not sure really.

If the box is that under powered it may not be worth the effort. Control
Panel|System|Advanced|Performance|Settings|Advanced|Background services.
