Free Public Wifi

When I was at SeaTac airport I checked to see what wireless networks might
be available to my Windows XP laptop at the airport. One of the available
networks was something called "Free Public Wifi" and I unfortunately clicked
"connect" to connect to it. It never connected and I got worried that it
might be something nefarious.

Now I am at home and when I clicked to see what wireless networks might be
available, there was "Free Public Wifi" again available to connect to. I
know what is available in my home neighborhood and "Free Public Wifi" was
never one of them, so now I am suspicious that I may have downloaded
something bad to my travel laptop.

Any suggestions on how to get rid of this?

Highlight the entry, press delete.
It's probably just still listed there. That's more than probable.

you have to hit change the order of preferred networks FIRST, then hit delete
when you highlight the wifi network
