Found new hardware wizard

Is there anyway of disabling the found new hardware wizard.

I am setting up a system to be deployed to lot of sites. I want to stop the
hardware wizard popping up if somone connects a new device to either the
LPT, USB or serial ports.

Would stopping the plug and play service achieve this ???

Not quite that simple,

I am migrateing 400 systems (all over the UK) currently runing window NT to
window 2000.

Every windows NT system has a printer connected to it, of which there are
loads of different types (Epson LX300, Epson LX850 etc..), but they all work
with the generic "IBM Graphics 9 Pin" driver.
I want windows2000 to work in the same way, but the problem is it keeps
trying to install drivers specific for the printer connected.

Ah! Very interesting. try doctoring up the .ini file (ntprint.ini) in
the INF directory?
