Are you using Word as your message editor? If yes, then use the paperclip dropdown to select "item."

||| I just tested an forwarded a V Card (opened CONTACT then selct
||| ACTION and then selet FORWARD AS A V CARD) but changed the email
||| from HTML to PLain Text and then sent it to myself - all the NOTES
||| in the Contact came thru OK. So this does not seem to be the
