Forward an e-mail (track changes)

When I forward an e-mail to someone and I go to change the text that I am
forwarding to what I want my name appears in [name] and then the text turns
to blue, bold and underline. I want to be able to edit text that I am
forwarding on to someone without having to fight with this [] pop-up
everytime.

It looks like a track changes for word but it is happening in Outlook 2000.
Can I turn this feature off?

If I am reading your question correctly you should be able to turn it off by
clicking on Tools/Options - Preferences Tab - under Email click on E-mail
Options button and at the bottom of that dialog box deselect the box next to
Mark my Comments with...
