Formulas Not Recalculating Automatically

Some of the formulas in my Excel 2003 spreadsheet are not recalculating
automatically. The spreadsheet contains a number of simple multiplication
formulas, such as =E82*D82 . Using this example, when I change the value in
cell E82, the value of the formula does not update automatically. The only
way I've found to get the formula to update automatically is to re-enter the
formula. This problem only occurs in a few formulas in specific cells on the
worksheet; most of the formulas on the worksheet recalculate automatically.
The Tools/Options/Calculation tab is set to "Automatic". Any suggestions on
what may be causing this problem?

Try selecting all the cells
then Edit|Replace
what: = (an equal sign)
with: =
replace all

Maybe it'll wake excel up????
