Formatting

I'm trying to reformt Win 2000 pro, however, when I do
this, I get "format cannot run because it is in use by
another process. Format may run if this volume is
dismounted first. ALL OPENED HANDLES TO THIS VOLUME WOULD
THEN BE INVALID" It asks me if I want to dismount the
volume, I click yes, and I get "cannot lock the drive.
the volume is still in use." I have no idea what that
means or how to do what it says. I JUST WANT TO REFORMAT
MY DRIVE. Any help would be great!

Sounds like you are attempting this in windows. Easiest
way to do this would be to boot from your 2000 cd and run
setup. There will be a section when it asks you to format
the drive.
