When i copy/paste slides from other decks into my master, the copied slides
bring their original notes pages formatting with them. In other words, they
do not adapt to the notes pages format of the master. The only method I can
find to standardize the notes pages formatting is to change the new slides
notes pages one at a time using Format>Slide Layout>Reapply Master. I often
have decks containing 100+ slides. Can someone help me with a method to get
around this? Hoping to avoid tedium!!

Thanks Lucy. I believe I noted in my original question that I use the process
you suggest but was hoping there was a way to universally change the
formatting on the wayward slide notes pages. Oh darn. As I said, the decks I
work with often have over 100 slides. It is fairly time consuming.

Hi

That's what the macro in the link is designed to do... Set up the notes
master as you want it then run the macro. If you aren't sure how to run VBA,
there is a link at the bottom of the page with really good instructions.
