recently formatted c drive after major crash...but I think I must have done
something wrong, because there is less hard drive space now...did I not
partition correctly? In MY computer it shows the c drive with 2 colors, and
the available space is less than before..also it won't completely
defragment..shows a large amount as freagmented, but wont complete...is there
something I can do as an easy fix..computer seems slower now?
Thanks!

Can you provide some numbers regarding this situation? (size of the
old partition, size of the new one, etc.)

Use Start - Run - DISKMGMT.MSC to see if Windows is detecting the full
size of your hard drive correctly, and what the status is of the
"missing" space. It will probably show as unallocated.

Good luck

Thanks..I ran DISKMGMT...shows the c drive a NTFS..Healthy...55.84 GB..with
only 19.89 Free and a FAT with 31 MB...There is no partition...I only have XP
and a few other programs on it, as it has taken me some time to add
programs...before the crash there was @ 65% free and my kids had a ton of
software games on it....not sure what all this means...any ideas?? Thanks
again.
