Format Bullets & Numbering

When I select the bulletted character that is a triangle with three slanted
lines, I get the triangle but immediately to the right is a small rectangle.
What could this be? If I pick any other symbol it's ok. Any ideas? Using
word 2000 on Windows 2000 professional. Thanks

Resetting didn't help. I did however find it prints OK in the Insert-Symbols
so I used that to make an auto correct. I going to keep Shauna's
instructions for future use. Thanks.

It seems as if I misunderstood your first message. If you were referring
to the Symbol dialog box, then obviously the Bullets and Numbering
dialog box won't fix anything. :-(

If it was a display issue, only, then the following article might be
helpful: http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/NonPrintChars.htm.

They are related: when you want to choose a new bullet in the Bullets
dialog, the Symbol dialog opens.
