Form won't open after Access Memory Crash

Anthony Fontana

Every so often, Access 2003 crashes with a "Not Enough Memory to Perform
Operation Error." I have 2 GB RAM on my PC and not a whole lot of programs
outside of IE 7.0 with 2 tabs open. My computer is Win XP SP3.

When access restarts after the crash, I cannot get a form I was working on
to open (double clicking or the open button).

Is there an easy way to fix this.

I have gotten into the habit of making my own backup every so often so I am
not loosing a lot of work, but I am past being annoyed.

Any help offered is appreciated
Thank you.

Anthony,
I have ran into the same problem as you have. What I found out is that an
object that my form or report references is either mispelled, corrupted or
missing all together. Another issue could be that a reference is missing
(Tools->References in VBA) which requires setting up.

On the hardware side, I also have 2GB RAM and used to get that same error.
How can this be, I check the RAM usage and I still have plenty of RAM left.
To fix this problem, I increased my Virtual Memory set up. That seems to
work, have not had the 'Not Enough Memory..." problem since.

Hope this helps.
