Form with subform won't print

Joe

I recently added a subform to a main form. The subform is based on a separate
linked to the main table. However, when I try to print nothing happens. The
print sequence appears to initiate but nothing prints on either of the two
printer that my system is connected to.

Any ideas why this is so?

Thanks.

Does the printer only activate and not spit nothing out or does it spit out
blank paper.

Forms are not for printing, especially forms with subforms.
You can create a macro driven command button that recognizes a query based
on the current record number while in the form to cue another query to
capture the data for that particular record and print it to a report for
printing.

If you don't know these steps, I apologize for not being able to explain. I
have to always stumble through each step while copying from one that is
working. Trial and error.

Correct. The printer only activates, loads the print driver but does not
print anything - not even a blank page. I understand that a blank for will
not print but this form has info in the main section and the subform section.
If you response is still the same based on this answer, then wil will try
what you suggested.

Thanks.

sounds like it has nothing to do with MS Access or is access the only thing
that wont print fully through the printer.
have you checked your printer drivers?
you may want to check in other forums (printer mfg).
