Hello,

I have already created a datasheet form. When I open it up regularly, it
opens the way I want a user to see it. (Just like an excel file) When I call
for it to open from a switchboard, it opens like a form. I do want the
datasheet to open in "add" mode so they are starting a new form each time
they click the button, but I want the form to look just like excel for user
simplification. Any way this can be done?

An Excel spreadsheet is a user-interface that a lot of people have learned
to work with.

Access is not a spreadsheet!

If you give your (Access application) users a "spreadsheet-looking form" to
work with, won't they expect it to behave like a spreadsheet?

I've already spoken with the group. They just want the look and feel of the
spreadsheet. The database actually adds the functionality that they have not
had in the past. They were actually not even using the spread sheet for
anything more than just data collection. They did not try to manipulate the
data to any extent or filter it at all. What is happening is that I created a
data organization database that the plant wants to use as a "One stop shop"
for all information like this. So without changing too much I want users to
feel like very little has changed from an entry standpoint, and second level
users now have a great deal of power in working with the date without having
to search for information. Sorry for the lengthy responce. Good question, but
the entry folks are just doing entry only,
