Hi there,

I am bordering on between basic and intermediate user of Access.
This is my situation: I have been asked to create a database to hold
information about people and their assessment details.
I have created four tables. Counsellor, Client, Client Assessment, and
Outcome. I have also created four different forms for each of the above
information to be entered. However, when I enter information into the
Client form, and then click on the "Client Assessment" button, I would like
the Clients Unique reference number (primary key) to be copied over into
the subsequent "Client Assessment" form. This is so people know which
client they are entering assessment details for. I have tried the
automated lookup option in the table design view area, which does not
appear to work. How else can i copy over the details of ONE field that I
have just entered in a form to a subsequent form? In other words, I have
four different forms that will need to be linked as one record for a client
(and the client's counsellor!).
Please help!
Krissy

Suggest you define a combo box displaying client names and their social
security nos. [as more than 1 client may have the same name] with the primary
key linked in the background.
