I have several forms in my web site (created in FP2003) that are configured
to send data to a file. When I set up the form properties, I left the
destination file as the default: _private/form_results.csv and I get an error
message when I try to run the forms on my web page after I have published it.
My web host suggested I change the name of the destination file to get rid of
the _private and the .csv thinking that was the problem. I renamed the
destination file "formresults.htm" per their suggestion and it still doesn't
work. I get an error page that read "FrontPage Error. User please report
details to this site's webmaster. Webmaster please see the server's system
log for more details." Either destination file name works when I View My
Remote Web Site from within FP2003 (there is no www prior to my domain name
in this case). But neither works when I open my page in IE with the www. My
web host does support FrontPage Extensions and suggested it was a FrontPage
error. They could find nothing on their end.
