form field capabilities

I have a barcode reader (with software, if needed). Is it possible to use an
access form to capture the barcode information. For instance, on a
form....text field 1 is selected, barcode scanned, info stored in text field
1. Tab to text field 2, same thing done and so on. This way Access can be
used to keep track of items, without having to manually enter all of the
information.

Thank you

If you use a scanner that plugs into the keybard connection the PC will
treat the scan exactly as if it were keyboard strokes. Most scanners can be
configured to add a Tab or Enter automatically to each scan.
