Form Design Question

I simply want the Label field required for all Calendar Items.
When I select New Appointment and then select Tools, Forms and
Design This Form the first page doesn't appear to be in design mode.
Unlike my Contacts where I was able to design the first page with no
problems. I hope I don't need to hide the first page and design a new
page from scratch. And if I do why would the Calendar form be any
different from the Contacts form???
Like I said I simply want to require Label.

You can require a label by putting that field on a custom, hidden page.

It's different because Outlook doesn't expose the date picker to developers
and, therefore, doesn't allow customization of any page on which it appears.
