Forced cached exchange mode.

Is there any event that might cause Outlook 2003 to go into Cached Exchange
Mode? We have some users who recently had trouble accessing Outlook, the
problem being caused by cached exchange mode being enabled. We did not setup
their systems with that orginally.

Cached mode would have to have been enabled either manually or via a
policy/profile setting. I can't see how it would just accidentally happen.

My question is, what problems is cached mode causing you? It's a great
feature...I can't imagine not using it, myself. YMMV, of course.

A new Outlook profile or a new Windows profile? Either way my answer is no.
It happened on a few systems this morning. Yesterday they were working fine.

What if the system was offline or not connected to the network when they
tried opening Outlook. Then they connected to the network. Could that cause
Outlook to force into Cached Mode?
