Fonts change Mysteriously

In word I highlite and change the size of the font of a sentence to over 12
and also change the color to Blue. Then If I simply scroll the page up to
where the sentence disappears under the tool bar it changes it to red!
However, the color stated on the font is still blue and so is the description
in the style tab as well.

However, If I keep the font at 12 or under this does not happen!

Any ideas??

This is very strange. Does it happen in a particular document or in any
document that you create?

Hi Stefan, thanks for replying. It happens in every word doc I try it in. I
thought I stated previously that I have Windows XP Home Edition with Office
2003 loaded into my Mac. It is here that I am having this issue.

Hi Joel,

Just to troubleshoot this mysterious issue:
If you go into the misbehaving text and look in "Format > Font", Character
spacing tab, what do you see under Kerning?
However, If I keep the font at 12 or under this does not happen!

In case the font currently isn't kerned at 12 pt or below, does the buggy
behaviour change if you uncheck the kerning (or set a large font size such
as 72 pt)?

Greetings,
Klaus

Hi Klaus, thanks for the try. The Kearning was not checked but it made no
difference when I saved the Kearning to 72.

Any other thoughts? I am wondering what if I updated the XP Home Edition to
the XP Pro, do you think that will make a difference?

Also, do you feel it is a Windows problem or the Mac problem?
