I'm trying to install a font called punch label. when i go and try to
install it i get a message that windows is using the font and i don't have
access to change that. how can i find where windows is using the font? how
do i make it stop using it so i can install it. I've searched the the font
and can only find the one i have downloaded.

I am having the same problem. I went to the link that you provided but
could find anything that explained why it would say that Windows is currently
using the file. Especially since the message pops up when trying to install
a font that doesn't exist on the PC yet.

Is there another way to install fonts? Is there something in Group Policy
that would prevent a user from installing fonts?

thanks!

Hello Christina

Are you logged into an admin account when you try to install the font?
