Follow-up Flags & Calendar Event Not Reminding

When I flag an email for follow-up in my Outlook and set a "Due By" time by
using the "Add a reminder" option, when the due by time passes outlook
doesn't remind me by popping up the subject of the flagged email in a
reminder window anymore. Instead, the text for the email I have flagged
simply turns red.

Further, I have a good amount of "events" in my Calendar for which I have
set reminder times and they no longer pop up in a reminder window when they
are due either. There is no form of reminder for the Calendar events I have
saved anymore.

I have double checked that the reminder options under "Tools, Options,
Other, Advanced Options" have both the "display the reminder" and "play
reminder sound" boxes checked off, I have tried shutting down Outlook and
rebooting my computer, and I have tried the 'outlook.exe /cleanreminders'
command, but nothing makes the reminders start working again.

Does anyone know how I can get my reminders to start popping up in a
reminder window again??

You probably are not completing the steps to have the reminders show. You
must select "reminder" and set the time for it, then press the speaker icon
to set up sound and visual reminders. You also have to OK the selected
reminder sound. The final step is to Save and Close.

Hi Mary,

I'm completing the steps in the exact same manner as I always have. These
reminders would pop up before without issue.

The box beside "Reminder" in the Calendar is checked, I set a timeframe for
the event and I save and close the event upon exit.

I assure you, I am doing everything correctly... the reminders just aren't
working for some reason.
