Climbing up on my soap box for a second.

Folks, it makes it almost impossible to offer help and suggestions when we
are guessing at what Operating System and which version of PowerPoint you
are using. Even a small line that says "WindowsXP running PowerPoint 2000"
makes all the difference in the world.

But hey, it is up to you and if you want to wait to be asked for the
information that is of course your choice.

Hi,

That's an extremely good point. (Are you running for Mayor?... I'll vote
<g>).

Knowing that information will help us enormously get to the point, and let
us get onto helping others.

Please tell us your ppt version, and get back to us here

PPT XP, Windows XP Professional, HTH... but I've not got a problem right
now, hopefully you'll all remember...

Jim.

should also be read by
all people before they ask.

ROFLMHO!

Actually, I've got a Teflon memory. Nothing sticks.

That's a very good link.Though, someone should put the history at the end?

A lady here I work with (Teacher aid) says that computers are the source of
all the woes of the world for what they teach children. And the problem? It
is because the buttons say OK and Cancel, or Yes and No.

She says: "Tell Bill, we want buttons that say; Yes, PLEASE, and No,
THANKYOU"!

Drat,

Now, not being vba conversant, I've got to try it to see what happens.
That's what occurs when you run cheese bait past a curious mouse.

Hmmm. PowerPoint found an error it can't correct...

More like:

Sub KA_BOOM_XP()

;-)

Nice, huh?

Earlier versions just toss a polite error message at you, as they should.
XP does a violent mudfacial.

Folks. Let's all be real *nice* to Steve. He obviously knows more than he
sometimes lets on <vbg>.

I'd vote for the Austin-ator... especially since "platform" started this
thread.

However, since he didn't say which one he was running, I can't help!

Kathy, did you ever see that make a difference in California? ;-))

Jan :)

Not much, but some of the bits are good for lots of dinner conversations, so
long as I stick to eating in Geek restaurants.

Since it is almost lunch time here, you have determined what I have today.
Yes, it will be a "Geek Salad". I hope they put anchovies on it!

....hopeless....to-tal-ly hopeless... I guess it is a matter of, once
digestively infested...eternally internally addicted...and thus culinarily
afflicted......poor Mikey..

'k...I have now dropped vermicelli from my list of acceptable foods....they
don't have eyes either... <sigh>
