Folders not listed under Local Folders

When I open Windows Mail I can see Local Folders and under it Inbox.
I can not see Outbox, etc.
If I click on Local Folders, I can see all the sub folders (Outbox, etc) on
the right half of screen.
If I right click on say Oubox and click on Open , it will move to the left
side of the screen under Local Folders. However if I close windows Mail and
then open it again, only Inbox shows up again! How can I see all the sub
folders on the left under Local Folders?

Which antivirus program are you running?
Windows Mail is not compatible with most McAfee and
Norton security programs. Those will need to be uninstalled,
NOT just disabled.

After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, download
and install a more compatible antivirus like:
AVG free edition:
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/us/frt/0?prd=aff
or
Avast free edition:
http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html

With either of those, during the install phase you must select custom
install, and then deselect the email scanning option.

I stumbled upon a solution to my problem. I created a new folder called
'test' under Local Folders. As soon as I did this, all my other subfolders
reappered as if by magic!!!

Good to hear it is working now, but I'm not sure how long that will
last. Whatever caused the first mishap is still lurking, ready to
spring into action again. So, save my advice for later.

You're missing the point that squirrely/non-sensical behavior like this is
not normal for Windows Mail.
