folder view options???

P

Paul Anton

Is there any way to set global view options on folders with images? I prefer
thumbnail view of images. Each time I explore a folder with images, I have
to go to View--thumbnails--. This is a pain. I expect Windows is trying to
conserve resources---However I have enough resources. <Grin>

I am running XP Pro

Thanks

Hi Paul,

There can only be one Display Properties setting for all folders.
Other folders can be set individually later.

Close down all Windows.

Open Windows Explorer (not My Computer) and set to view thumbnails.
Go to Tools - Folder Options - View make sure "Remember each folders
view settings" is checked.
Then click "Apply to all folders". Close Windows Explorer and reboot
the system.

For pre SP2 the amount of folder setting that can be remembered can be
increased using this fix from Kelly's site.
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm Line 2 , left,
"Increase Folder View".
