Folder Name Disappeard

This is bizarre. The name on one of my folders on the server just
disappeared. When I highlite it the name is just a grey area. I have tried
copying the contents to another folder, deleting the folder and then
re-creating it with the same name, but the name does not appear. I've tried
creating a link to the folder on my desktop but the name is blacked out.

This is only on one folder.

Virus? What happens when you boot into Safe Mode?

I recommend this as a first step, well before posting. It solves a large
number of problems.
