Are there limitations as to how much can be placed in any
one folder using XP Pro? Maximum number of files? Maximum
size of files?

The page you referenced has moved. Do you know where?

I have NTFS on a 30 GHz drive. I have 6 files of 650MB
each on one folder. When I try to access it via Windows
Exxplorer it takes aboout 2 minutes to give information.

NTFS has some extremly large limits.

What we have tested so far:-
Maximum File Size (bytes) = Uncompressed: 16 TB - 64 kb (max possible NTFS
file size!) Compressed: 69 GB
Files Per Volume = 20 million files, 14 million folders
Files Per Folder = 20 million files in a single folder.

Please note the actual architectural and technical limits are higher then
those above. These are just the tested numbers for a Windows 2000 NTFS
system
