Folder appearance

On my computer all of the files as I open them appear as a
Large Icon. I would like to set all of my folders and
file to view as a LIST. Is there an easy way of doing
this without opening all of the folders and files and
saving the view. I have selected Save file view in
Control panel.

Explorer|Tools|Folder Options|View, then "Like Current Folder". Depending on
your likings, you may also need to check "Remember each folder's view
settings"
