floppy drive doesn't work

Every time I insert a diskette into the floppy, I get a
message saying 'disk is not formatted'. I know they are,
there is info on them. I saved to them before I
installed XP. Could this be a problem? I have checked
the driver and disk status and it says all is well.
What do I need to do?

The link below is to a program called floppy diskfix. This program
says it can fix the disk not formatted error. Hope this helps.
