Press F8 during the startup and choose the bootlog option. Restart, and read
the NTBTLOG.TXT file in the system32 folder. You may discover file that is
hanging.
I pressed F8 and chose the bootlog option. I restarted and my pc rebooted
without hanging on the flashing dash. It did not give me the opportunity to
read NTBLOG.TXT file. How do I get to that file and what do I look for within
that file. Thanks
The last entry might show you something, assuming you can get it to error
during boot once.
