fixed character fields

Hi,

in the Access/Jet DDL exists a hidden feature (or a bug, depending on how
you rate it) that creates a FIXED character field instead of a variable char
field if you use the data type CHAR instead of VARCHAR. This works if you
build up a table via SQL statement.

My question: Is it possible to create fixed char fields in the Access-97-UI?
