First Win 2003 Server as a DC

Hi all,

I have a Windows 2000 domain. I have just installed a Win 2003 Server in my
organization. I would like to promote it to Domain Controller. I know I
have to do the ADPrep, Domain Prep.

Is there an implication on the actual AD structure. Will I lose my AD
information. Will in any way affect the working environment I have now. I
only have one DC working right now and would like to have some sort of fault
tolerance for AD (logon etc).

My fear is that my AD will somehow stop working (you know how it is).
Should I backup AD (if so what should I backup)

Thanks
