FireWire installed, then not working

I just reformated my PC. Reason? Firewire stopped functioning
As soon as i had it reformated with a fresh windows xp pro, i pluged my canon xl1s and my sony trcv320 and it was working again

One day after, i tried to edit some video and again. The firewire deviece has an exclamation mark in the deviece manager and it refuses to find my devieces

Could it mean that the card is dying? Its actually a Radeon All in wonder DV 8500

Could be a Windows bug. Check Microsoft Knowledgebase. Cycling the power
on your Firewire device may take care of it.
