Hi guys,
Win xp pro (sp1) directx 9 - my jvc digital video cam is not seen by
firewire at all. Over the past week i have - tried 4 different firewire
cables, 3 different firewire cards (all installed fine and showed up in
DevMgr as working).and 2 different (but still JVC) cams. Installed XP onto
second partition..nothing..Ended up fomatting hard drives and doing a full
new install of xp..still nothing.
Also tried using my Pinnacle Movie Box DX (hadn't tried it before as
to busy trying to at least get my cam seen over firewire). Even that is not
seen by firewire ports. Also hooked up a laptop to my pc via firewire to see
if i could get a network running over firewire and still nothing- seems the
firewire ports arent registering anything that is connected to them, no
matter which firewire card or cable i use!
Has anyone with similar probs tried this fix? -
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;en-us;329256 - and did it
make any difference?
To see more ppl with this issue- go to www.dvboard.com and check under
Any ideas to assist would be appreciated
Thanks guys
