Firewall off but blocking

My laptop cannot view files on the other computer, it pops up with the
message that Access is Denied. file sharing and printing is on, and ive
turned off windows firewall, but it says there is still one on. I dont know
of any Firewall i have on my computer so why does it still notice it, and how
can i fix this.

Misconfigured / overlooked firewalls. What antivirus product do you use?
