Does anybody know what the status of this extension is? Its page on the
Mozilla site:

http://prefbar.mozdev.org/

seems to be dead and there *is* no http://prefbar.mozdev.com apparently

The mozdev page works for me, but is very slow for me. The last
version released was 3.2.1 (2005-09-11), compatible with the Deer
Park alphas. That's a good sign that it will be updated to work with
the Deer Park release, Firefox 1.5.

It also makes it a pretty good bet (but not a sure thing) that it will
work with Firefox 1.5 as-is, if you modify its maxversion. Again I
recommend anyone going that route with any extension should make a
complete backup of their profile(s) first.

I do not, but it's sure a hot topic lately. It looks like the most
popular way to force old extensions to run in FF 1.5 is to install the
"Nightly Tester Tools" extension:
<https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=958>

Other ways to do it:
<http://www.lifehacker.com/software/firefox/make-extensions-work-in-firefox-15-136993.php>
<http://groups.google.com/group/Goog...read/thread/45d44a27af1bf0a6/5c4aa383bfc1542a>

WARNING: These workarounds let you load old extensions in a new
version of Firefox until an updated extension version is released.
There is no absolutely no guarantee that every extension will work, or
work properly, or that all features will work. BACK UP YOUR PROFILE
FIRST in case it is damaged:

I don't run prefbar. My guess would be that it'll run fine, but you
won't see new prefs (if any) added in the latest FF version.
