From the web site below:

"Download Firefox 3 from the Mozilla Firefox page and install it. For
information on how to install, see Installing Firefox. Firefox 3 will
replace Firefox 2 unless you install it in a custom location."

There has never been any need to uninstall the previous version since
Firefox 0.x; I don't see why this should be recommended now.

I have just upgraded in-place, and all is fine. Even the 2.0 uninstaller
is gone.

Same here. No problems so far and some of the extensions aren't needed now
as the functionality is included...session fix and safe history for example.

I've been playing with FF3 a bit more. I miss the session fix extension and
FF3 can't always restore your tabs on restart. The work around is trivial.

1. Load your standard set of tabs.
2. Bookmark all. You will be presented with a dialog allowing you to create
a folder which I named "Current tabs".
3. Should FF3 start without your tabs, select "Bookmarks" | "Current tabs" |
"Open all in tabs"

I was hoping that removing the check for FF in CCleaner would fix the
problem, but it didn't. ;-(
