finding the 'hidden' datasheet for editing on a split form access

using access 2007...

....How can I find the 'hidden' datasheet on a split form. I can see the main
form in the navigator pane, but not the accompanying datasheet. I ant to set
properties such as font style on the datasheet element of the split form, but
I cannot get to it as it seems to be hidden away, or does Access build it on
the fly when i open the main form?

That's not true. Even in previous versions of Access you ran run a
subform in datasheet view as a main form, and apply formatting.

I don't run v2007, but I suspect the same rules reign as in previous versions.
You can't do formatting to an individual Datasheet, nor even to the
Datasheets in an individual database, you can only set their formatting in a
installation of Access on an individual PC. The formatting will apply to all
Access apps run on that PC.In previous versions this was done thru the Menu,

you are correct, the subform/datasheet can be formatted in Layout View. But
for some reason, when I change the Font for a given field/column, it only
changes on the relative field on the main form section, but not the datasheet
view. I can change the fonts attributes, such as bold, italic, etc, but even
that changes all other columns too. but i cannot change the font, despite it
being shown in the properties window. does anyone know if this is a
limitation or a bug?
