finding an archived email

Admittedly I don't really understand auto-archive and merrily press yes when
I'm asked if I want to do so. Now that I need to find an email - I can't
seem to find where it would be. I have an Archive folder and yet it only
seems to have copies of sent mail not inbox mail. Does anyone know how I
find my archived inbox mail? Will be hugely grateful!

Right-click on the Inbox and check the archive properties. See if a
different destination was specified than for the global archive
function (under Tools -> Options -> Other).
