find results in a tiny horizontally split screen - help

When I start>search>find and then search for files I get the results in a
horizontally split screen w/all results shown in narrow slit part of the
window at the top and an empty larger part of the window in the bottom - the
view is useless and happened suddenly - I get it every time now i search
now.

How do i change this back to one unsplit window showing the search results?

Please disregard - I changed to classic window view and it fixed it...
