When doing a 'Find' in the registry editor, XP crashes
and the blue screen is never the same. This also happens
when running JV16 or other registry claeners!

Can anyone help???

Hi

Registry cleaner is the culprit that cause troubles if you don't use it correctly
Do not use it to remove any registries that you are not sure or knowledgeable to remove
To resolve your problems, I would suggest you to perform a repair installation of XP. This is the best & fastest way to fix/rebuild the registry in windows OS

Go to the following link to learn more about registry

I have already done a repair on XP and I've reinstalled
XP. I have not done a full install... that's what I'm
trying to avoid!

Can you use Event Viewer to look up the error you're getting?

- click Start
- right-click My Computer, go to Manage
- expand Event Viewer, select System Log

Once you have the error code, we can get some more information.
