How do you find windows domain name?

I tried using the LogonUser api function wherein we pass the second
parameter as the domain name. The problem is that I use this pc from
home...is it supposed to have a domain name?

Don't find any text that says domain name...! I have a general doubt -
isn't this name relevant to those computers connected on to a network?
(My pc is for home use only...).

If you are at home, you aren't a member of a domain.

Don't assume. There are plenty of home-based networks that ARE on
domains. It's a great way to control what the kiddies are doing and
what they can access on the systems - much easier in multi computer
homes than workgroup-based permissions.
