find contact while writing e-mail

T

Tayfun

When I try to write e-mail an if I don't remember the name of contact but
reember the company of him, I can not find it WHILE I write e-mail. I can
only use search button for names. I can find from contact folder fist and
write mail but I will have the same problem if I try to add second contact to
this mail.
Other mail programs WLM or Thunderbird give easy solutions to enter contacts
when we compose a mail.
Do you have any solution for this subject?

Why would you not use the "By Company" view of your Contacts Folder for
this?
There is no limit to the ways you can search and display your Contacts in
Outlook as long as you've organized them correctly.

Dear Russ,
Ofcourse there is no limit to search in contact folder.
But when you start to compose an e-mail ; when you press "to" button there
in order to find the contact there is only one possiblity to search name.
Even you select there "more column" or "advanced finds" it search only names
not any other criteria.

Outlook's developers knew that most people choose their recipient first, so
all the ability to search and filter Contacts are built into Contacts Folder
views. If you decide to select your recipient after you start your email,
then you limit yourself to the address book view of your Contacts or the
autocompletion cache, neither of which was intended for searching or
filtering.
I've always had better luck learning how software was intended to be used
and using it that way.

Dear Russ,
It works fine if you send mail only to one contact. If you try to send more
than one contact you have to return to contact folder and find the contact
and after that you have to copy his e-mail address and return to message body
and past it .
Or if you answer an e-mail and forward it to another contact you have to do
same things again
It is very difficult and long procedure.
I see that it is not easy to send e-mail from outlook. I have to continue to
use other programs.
Thank you for your kind answers.

It really isn't difficult to select multiple recipients from the Contacts
Folders view, either.
Switching from other programs to Outlook does require changing some habits.
Not everyone prefers to do so.
