Fill patterns on screen and printing

I upgraded from Windows 98 to a new computer and Windows
XP. I have a software program that I use for work to
print maps. It no longer works the same on XP. The fill
patterns on the map disply in all blue background on the
screen and then do not print correctly when printing. The
software company says its an XP and Microsoft fill pattern
issue. I need this to work.

Any suggestions, ideas. Anything at this point is worth a
try.

I'm a little confused... does the software company say
that their software is fully comapatable with XP?.. and
that XP is causing this?

If so, have you tried going to "display properties", then
"settings", then "advanced", then "troubleshoot" and
reducing the "hardware acceleration"?

See if that changes anything... if not try changing the
"display properties", then "settings", then "color
quality" to see if there is any impact there.

Yes, they say the software is compatible with XP but they
don't run XP there??? Anyway, they told me it was an XP
issue.

Check for an XP update from your software company. Call them and talk to
somebody to actually see if they have gotton it to work on XP. Check for
updated printer drivers also.
